Principally, it is seen that an educated, prosperous and capable person has got inherent fundamental social responsibility towards the illiterate, poor and weaker sections of the society.

The equity, equality and generosity are the ultimate virtues that reflect the personality of an individual. Out of concern, when an individual or organization decides to render the social activity by active participative role, then we grow as cultured society. When various groups of social organizations trying to fulfil the ideology of सर्वजन हिताय सर्वजन सुखाय ( Sarva Jan Hitay, Sarvjan Sukhay ) in society, their endeavour and services are truly commendable.

I am happy to know that Cosmo foundation was established by Cosmo films to do signatory work for the social welfare that reflects a great sense of uplift in the society. The efforts made by Cosmo Foundation for local rural students for quality education, computer literacy, reading writing arithmetic in Gujarat language and English literacy education to raise the standard of living of these children and their family are truly a welcoming initiative. It is truly a dedicated service through various programs by Cosmo Foundation which has made efforts to raise the standard of living of rural community. On the eve of completion of Ten Years Celebration, I heartily congratulate everyone associated with Cosmo Foundation who is shouldering the social responsibility.

Cosmo Foundation, which is an organization established by Cosmo Film Limited, is working for education and rural development in the rural areas of Karjan Taluka of Vadodara district. 60 villages benefit from various programs of the organization such as, computer training, English teaching, life skill education and strengthening skills of reading, writing and calculations. The work carried out by Cosmo Foundation on training the English teachers of the Government schools in Karjan Taluka, construction of toilets in girls' schools and cleanliness drive in villages for forming cleanliness committees involving children last year is indeed commendable.

I convey my best wishes that the organization takes up more and more developmental works in years to come and contribute to its full potential in social change.

Cosmo Foundation, which has been set up by Cosmo Films Limited as part of social responsibility, carries out computer training, English Communication skills, Life Skill education and program for strengthening reading, writing and arithmetic along with awareness programs for parents in partnership with Government primary and granted schools in villages around manufacturing unit located in Karjan Taluka of Vadodara Distirct. This is very commendable. Their contribution in development of underprivileged section through village development work is most welcome.

National campaigns run by the Government such as 'Clean India ? Clean School' have also been included in activities of your organization; wherein constructing toilets, arranging dustbins, formation of students' cleanliness committees and maintenance work through standards at school level have been carried out.

I wish that the organization continues to contribute by remain active in social awakening process.

By identifying true requirements of Karjan area, which appears to be developed and industrialized apparently, the organization conducted programs on computer training, Gujarati and English language education, life skills training, education of basic values and cleanliness.

Cosmo Foundation expanded its activities at my birthplace and work place - village Lilod covered under its educational initiatives and I am immensely happy for the same. I got the opportunity to be part of inauguration of girls the toilets built in Govt schools of village Kotahv and Vemar and Computer & English training program in village Lilod, hence I have the privilege to see these social initiative personally. Other local industrial units should join hands with this organization, which works with innovative approach and thereby contribute to strengthening these activities.

I wish the organization continues to carry out more and more public welfare activities in time to come in effective way resulting in all-round development of the society.

There is so much to learn from teaching methods, assessment and monitoring system to map learning outcome of the students conceived and implemented at Cosmo Foundation. The way they have joined hands with Government schools to enhance learning levels is noteworthy. Government school teachers can adopt the same to accelerate the learning at primary schools. Though government has expanded infrastructure as at school learning levels will only enhance with dedicated teachers.

Cosmo Foundation is providing alternative education beyond mainstream education which is essential for positive development of children. I am very happy to learn about Computer, English and Life Skill education programs and the way children are groomed by Cosmo Foundation. Orientation to subjects like cyber crime, women safety and traffic rules also can be covered under the program.

It was my pleasure to understand the work done by Cosmo Foundation to help the community in the area of education and professional skills. The computer learning awards appeared to be a nice initiative and I am sure that it will inspire thousands of children to learn computers. English classes too is a great initiative that will enable children to compete in globalised economy. I am sure that in coming decade Cosmo Foundation will impact the society in much wider spectrum.

CF interventions have brought about a transformation in school education for villagers, in thecurriculum adopted by education department and in the perspective of teachers and parents – all these at a fraction of the cost of traditional school education model. They have successfully established a PPP model and created a win-win situation for all. Thus, this concept has immense potential to extend to overall educational system with appropriate model and advocacy at taluka, district and state levels. I am thankful to Cosmo Foundation for giving me the opportunity for assessing the impact of the program.

The project has made strong inroads with the mainstream schools, enjoys goodwill among parents, local community opinion leaders. The project has firm foothold at the present, well accepted and appreciated among all the stakeholders. There isa major realisation on the part of students that knowledge of computers aids to their employability and will also help in their higher studies and this can be considered as a significant immediate outcome of the program. Thanks to Cosmo Foundation team for giving wonderful experience of impact assessment.

It is because of Cosmo Foundation that computer education has reached to the rural areas and because of these service activities students are making their future bright on a way to the progress. If there was no presence of the Cosmos Foundation in the Karjan Taluka, the students of rural areas would have been deprived of practical knowledge of computer and English. Commerce students of 11th and 12th in my school are also learning a computer subject with help of teacher arranged by Cosmo Foundation. Our village is situated in a remote area. Summer class of basic English were also organized at the places where transportation facilities are inadequate and numbers of SC/ST and primary school children are high. Students were learning English even during the summer to the tune of 45 centigrade. Efforts are being made to improve the quality of educational level of the children using educational material of the Cosmo Foundation.

We have received services of Cosmo Foundation since the year 2009 and Cosmo Foundation is contributing actively in the school. School students receive basic English and computer knowledge with the cooperation of the Cosmo Foundation. Students are tuning steps with the development of technology. Basic English speaking and basic computer classes were organized in vacation since last three years with an objective to provide benefit to the villagers along with school students. Villagers going abroad have also received this benefit. Cosmo Foundation is also involved in the development of educational institutions in Karjan Taluka and the development of the Taluka. Along with education, socially useful work such as cleanliness campaign and carrier guidance seminars for students of STD 10 and 12 are also organized.

The attempt of the Cosmo Foundation for betterment of the society with the use of new technology and English sets is indeed appreciable. With compliments that Cosmo Foundation accomplice new highest of progress and always be a lighthouse for educational institutions and society.
